The name La Pané is a combination word derived from the Latin word for ‘bread’ where many languages such as Italian, Spanish, French, Galician, Corsican, Japanese, Korean and more, share the same root word. ‘La’ is Italian/Spanish/French/Portuguese for the word ‘the’. Said together, La Pané also audibly sound like the Malay word for ‘8A’ (Lapan A) which indicates the unit number of the first La Pané pizza outlet. Paying homage to humble beginnings.
